A small group of young black men, who attended Crenshaw High School together in South Los Angeles, overcome the daily obstacles of gang solicitation, gun violence and racial profiling to become national champions in the unlikely sport of professional road cycling.

The film tells the story of how a chance introduction between a track cycling coach and a teenage boy began a succession of talented cyclists from the black community. It follows three main characters on two different independent cycling teams through a Criterium Racing season. The focus will be on the back-to-back and current National Criterium Champion, Justin Williams, as he attempts to become the first three time champion, and his mentor Rahsaan Bahati.
